Eagle Pack Dog Food Reviews
Eagle Pack does not have such a wide range, but there is no complaint about the quality of any of the products. Recipes include dry and wet, adult and puppy, large breed and small breed. I’m sure you’ll find the right one for your dog. I will not review all existing products. However, I collected the most popular ones. Let’s look at these!

I love dog foods that focus on a specific problem, life situation, size, or breed. This way, we can be sure that we can provide proper nutrition for our dog. The Eagle Pack Chicken & Pork Large Breed formula has been developed for large adult dogs.
Large canines are prone to various joint problems. The high glucosamine content of this recipe can help with this. Glucosamine is a deservedly popular dietary supplement. It greatly reduces joint pain and inflammation and increases mobility. This substance is effective in both dogs and humans.
One of the most important components of any dog food is protein. This is because it provides dogs with the amino acids they need to build and maintain muscle. It is best if the primary ingredient in the food is some source of protein.
This Eagle Pack dog food has a protein content of 25%, which is good. The first two ingredients are a source of protein, specifically chicken meal and pork meal. Meals are better than real meats in some ways. Meat meals have less moisture. Therefore, a meal of the same weight has more protein than meat.
The following ingredients are grains. You don’t have to be scared, they are gluten-free and not necessarily harmful to your dog. You’ll find complex, highly digestible carbohydrates in the recipe, such as oats, rice, and brown rice. In addition to digestibility, fiber and nutrient content are major benefits of these ingredients.
The product also contains vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and probiotics. The latter helps a lot in digestion and the functioning of the immune system. Omega fatty acids are good for skin and coat health. They also support the immune system, the kidneys, and the joints.
If you have a large dog, be sure to consider this product. Not only is it mouth-wateringly delicate, but it also has a positive effect on dogs’ overalls and joint health. Grains increase the product’s nutritional value, so if your canine is not sensitive to grains, then I highly recommend this recipe.
The Eagle Pack Original Chicken Meal & Pork Meal Formula is suitable for all stages of life. The ingredients are healthy, natural. The chicken meal and pork meal provide the protein. They contain less moisture, so they have a higher protein content than real meats. The crude protein content of the product is 26%, which is very good.
Carbohydrate sources follow proteins. These are ground brown rice, dehulled barley, oatmeal, rice, and peas. These are not only complex and easily digestible carbohydrate sources but also contain plenty of healthy fiber.
If your dog is allergic to barley, then, of course, this dog food is not the best choice for you. However, if this is not the case, be sure to consider it.
The product has a fiber content of 4%, which is ideal for dogs. The fibers are provided by the carbohydrate sources mentioned above and flaxseed and tomato pomace. The other ingredients in the recipe are fats and various supplements. The main source of fat is chicken fat, which is delicious and healthy for dogs.
The added flaxseed ensures the balance of omega fatty acids. This is important not only for the health of the skin and coat but also for the whole body. The recipe also includes added vitamins, chelated minerals, and fermentation products. The latter serve as probiotics, thus supporting the digestive system and health of dogs.
It is imperative to note that this product does not contain corn, wheat, soy, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. That is, it does not contain any questionable ingredients.
Overall, I can say that I highly recommend this food to dogs in all stages of life. In addition to the two types of protein sources, it contains complex carbohydrates. All ingredients are well digested. However, if your dog has any allergies or sensitivities, you should pay attention to the list of ingredients.
Your dog will surely love the red and white meat together. Eagle Pack Lamb, Chicken & Fish Recipe Large Breed Dry Puppy Food will be irresistible to dogs due to the two types of meat. This product is made for puppies who have different nutritional needs than adults.
Because puppies’ bodies and brains have not yet developed properly, they need the right amount and quality of omega fatty acids and proteins. This product perfectly meets this need as it contains DHA and quality protein sources.
The primary ingredient and the main source of protein is the lamb meal. Not only is it a well-digestible and concentrated source of protein, but it also contains calcium, which is critical for bone growth. The other source of protein is chicken meal, which is also considered good quality meat.
The product contains healthy carbohydrate sources such as oatmeal, brown rice, barley, and white rice. Each of these has positive effects. Rice is healthy for the digestive system. Oats contribute to the fiber content of food, which also promotes digestion.
Besides, it is rich in vitamins and minerals. Barley has similarly positive properties. However, if your dog is allergic to it, consider the list of ingredients. In this case, this may not be the best choice.
Overall, this product is great for nourishing your growing puppy. The added probiotics have a good effect on the health of the digestive system and the immune system. I’d rather have a recipe with some added vegetables, but I still think it’s a good choice.
If you have a very active dog, be sure to consider this product. This is because active dogs need even more nutrients, energy, and protein. The latter is responsible for building and maintaining lean muscle mass.
Eagle Pack Power Adult Dry Dog Food contains chicken meal and pork meal as the primary ingredient. The two meat meals and pea protein add a total of 30% protein to this dog food, which is great.
There are two types of grains found in the product, brown rice and barley. They are very rich in nutrients and energy, but they are also well digestible. Although carbohydrates are not essential for dogs, if your puppy does not have sensitivities or allergies, you can feel free to include them in his diet.
Brown rice is rich in vitamins and minerals. The fiber content of barley helps digestion and has a good effect on blood sugar levels.
This dish contains additional ingredients such as chicken fat, brewers dried yeast, tomato pomace, and flaxseed. Tomato pomace tends to get into dog food because of the fiber. Dried yeast contains many useful amino acids and B vitamins, which are very healthy for dogs. However, if your dog is sensitive to yeast, this product is not the best choice. Flaxseed helps balance the ratio of omega fatty acids. It has a good effect on the skin and coat.
Incidentally, this dog food has a fat content of 19%. This would not be good for other foods. However, this product is made specifically for active dogs, so it is so high in calories and fat.
In terms of the quality of the ingredients and the price, I can say that this is one of my favorite Eagle Pack recipes. It provides active dogs with all the nutrients they need. Highly recommended!
Unfortunately, obesity is becoming more common in dogs as well as in humans. The reasons can be many: a sedentary lifestyle, too much food, or poor quality food. If you need help getting your dog to a healthy weight, be sure to consider Eagle Pack Reduced Fat Pork, Chicken & Fish Adult Dry Dog Food.
The key to weight loss is calorie reduction. This food contains fewer carbohydrates and fat. However, it contains enough protein to maintain lean muscle mass. The primary source of protein is a pork meal. It is an excellent source of protein as it is easy to digest and contains quality amino acids. Your dog should not be allowed to get enough protein due to a weight loss diet.
In addition to the pork meal, the meal also includes chicken meal and turkey meal. These three ingredients add a total of 24% protein to the Eagle Pack product.
Carbohydrate sources include grains such as dehulled barley, brown rice, oatmeal, and rice. Dogs can digest these carbohydrates. Unless your pooch is allergic to any of these, you have no reason to avoid it.
Additional ingredients are peas, tomato pomace, and brewers dried yeast. Peas contain protein and fiber. Tomato pomace also contains fiber, so your dog will have no trouble with digestion. Brewers contain dried yeast omega fatty acids, amino acids, and B vitamins that positively affect dogs.
Added probiotics are well known to affect the efficiency of the digestive system positively.
Overall, I highly recommend this dog food to solve weight problems. It contains fewer calories and fat than other Eagle Pack products. However, your dog does not need to be deprived of any nutrients if he eats this food.
I don’t have much to explain about the last product on my list. Eagle Pack Original Adult Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Formula Dry Dog Food’s primary and main protein source is lamb meal. It is an excellent source of protein that is easy to digest and does not cause allergies or sensitivities. Another source of protein is chicken meal, which is also of outstanding quality.
Carbohydrate sources are oatmeal, ground brown rice, and dehulled barley. These are complex carbohydrates that are well digestible and rich in nutrients. Barley contains gluten, so if your dog is allergic or sensitive to this, it is better to choose another product.
Much of the fat comes from chicken fat, which makes this food not only tasty but healthy. Flaxseed balances omega fats. The product contains enough vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and probiotics. The health of your dog is practically guaranteed.
Be sure to consider this product!
Finding the best diet for your dog is not easy. You have to consider several aspects, e.g., activity, breed, age, health condition, etc. If you want to make the best decision possible, check out my comprehensive guide on how to choose the best dog food.

The very first formula of Eagle Pack was developed in 1985. Veterinarians and trainers were also involved in the development. The goal was to make the best possible food for canines. Thus, the recipe is balanced and free of all kinds of artificial chemicals, by-products, and fillers.
WellPet has owned the Eagle Pack since 2010. The company represents other popular brands such as Wellness, Holistic Select, Old Mother Hubbard, Sojos, and Whimzees.
Eagle Pack is manufactured in Mishawaka, Indiana. This is where the WellPet manufacturing plant is located. The origin of the ingredients is not clearly indicated. However, the Eagle Pack strictly inspects all its products before they are marketed.
Customers are generally satisfied with the brand’s products. Its offerings include food for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages.

If you buy Eagle Pack dog food, you can be sure that you are providing the best possible nutrients for your dog. The ingredients are carefully sourced, and no questionable chemicals are included in the packages. I have listed below the main ingredients that occur in Eagle Pack foods.
- Chicken meal
- Lamb meal
- Pork meal
- Beef liver
- Chicken liver
- Dried egg product
- Brown rice
- Alfalfa meal
- Tomato pomace
- Chicken fat
- Salmon oil

As you can see from the list above, the manufacturer really carefully selects the ingredients used. They are all-natural, easily digestible, and do not cause sensitivity, allergies, or irritation.
Instead of artificial preservatives, these dog foods are preserved with tocopherols. Some Eagle Pack products contain brewer’s yeast. This can cause allergies in some dogs. If your dog is sensitive to brewer’s yeast, read the list of ingredients in detail before purchasing.
Eagle Pack Recall History
Eagle Pack dog food hasn’t had a single recall so far. However, it is worth noting that this dog food is produced by a company called Diamond Pet Food, which has had some recalls.
What is immediately apparent is that Eagle Pack products absolutely fall into the affordable category. And that is not what we would expect based on the ingredients. Of course, there are also cheaper kibbles, but they are usually of lower quality.
The 30-pound bagged kibbles cost between $35 and $60. The 15-pound bags cost between $20 and $35. There are also smaller 6 pounds or larger 40 pounds Eagle Pack products. The wet versions are in 13.2-ounce cans. Of this, a 12-pack costs about $25-35.
Please note that the prices described above may vary by recipe, promotion, and retailer. You can find out the final price only if you view the product on the retailer’s website via the link.

When reviewing dog food, I always like to see what real customers are writing about a product. Below I have gathered some customer reviews of Eagle Pack foods from Chewy’s website.
We’ve used Eagle Pack for 2 years now
- We used grain-free before, but the risks led us to go wheat/soy-free instead. Eagle Pack is fantastic. Our 6-year-old Lab loves it and her coat is shiny — she’s eaten nothing but Eagle Pack since she was 4. She is a very active dog who retrieves every day, yet she thrives on amounts at the low end of Eagle Pack’s recommendation. Of the super dog foods, EP is consistently less expensive, and yet we find it fully equal in taste and performance to the most expensive brands. We are committed users.
Great Dane Rescue Loves Eagle Pack
- Bosco is a Great Dane rescue. He had Pneumonia when adopted and my vet was able to save him. We were suggested Eagle Pack and he took to it 1st bowl. 2 years later still growing, beautiful coat and vet says he is getting exactly what he needs for a long healthy life.
- Great stuff and passed the clean label project!!! The only thing that would make it better would be larger kibble (for large and giant breeds). That would keep it from getting stuck in the jowls and ending up on the floor.
Awesome Brand and Price
- I have used Eagle Pack for a few years, and I trust the quality of the brand. This is a new flavor that I decided to try. I am not disappointed! It holds up to my expectations perfectly. I was a little surprised that the pieces were a little smaller than the ‘Power’ line, but the dogs don’t mind at all.
Good food, good price
- I did a lot of history research on pretty much dog food, and my 13-year-old lab loves this flavor. I recommended it to a friend for his three dogs, and they didn’t like it at first, but now they love it. My dog is old, and the kibble is little, so I think it helps her eat it because she has a broken k9.
Not so much
- My pup didn’t care for it at all. I had to buy wet food to add so that he would eat it. But to each is own.
