I resorted to cooking his meals, but storing his food and giving him variety was getting difficult. Through some research came across Ziwi, it has been a lifesaver. He loves their treats, kibbles, everything. It is expensive but definitely worth it considering the number of doctor’s visits we had.

- I honestly like this raw food, it’s a good alternative for when our border collie and I travel and she can’t eat the frozen raw food I usually buy for her. Check that your dog is not allergic to any of the ingredients before buying a big quantity. Whatever I have left after the trip, I use it as rewards treats

- Both my dogs love this and my cats are always trying to get it. It smells bad to me, so it must smell great to them. Their normal diet is fresh raw but I add this in as well. It is high value enough for them to use as small treats, too. It’s good to have on hand if I need someone else to feed the dogs because not everyone is ok with feeding raw meat and this is just like regular dog food….dry and you just scoop it. I put it in water. Also good for if you send your raw fed dog to boarding or go on vacation. The price is the same as the raw I get when you compare calorie to calorie (had to do quite a bit of math)

great ingredients, not stinky enough?
- My picky eater will eat this, but not with a lot of enthusiasm. I find it smells almost, good? The scent is sort of bland, and my dog usually likes more smelly fishy-smelling foods. It’s nice for me that it doesn’t gross me out, especially compared to most other meat/raw diets! But my dog doesn’t get over-excited about it. I find myself having to add things to keep him interested. ALSO is does NOT have a lot of fiber, so my pups’ poops were soft until I added more fiber in the form of treats/carrots/toppers. It’s kind of expensive for having to be altered…but it’s a fair price compared to other grass-fed non-gmo high protein/raw food.
